Skeletal Dragon Felgrand
Now THIS. THIS is what I want a Felgrand Dragon counterpart to look like: a radically different, ultra rad design that still is very recognizably Felgrand Dragon. They really went nuts with the prompt "Take Felgrand Dragon and make it look fucked up." From the elongated, skeletal limbs to the weird purple veins to the absolutely horrific exposed spine, this monster screams "undead dragon." Don't even get me started on how well done the foreshortening is on this one. Perfectly seamless AND you get to see all those freaky details on its close up hand. The decision to pair Felgrand's normal colors with purple was excellent and really brings this card home for me. It even has purple wing membranes now!!! Not to mention the evil, entropic energy radiating from it now. Man I can't stop staring at its literal actual spine though.
Rating: 10/10, World's Most Fucked Up Dragon
#Skeletal Dragon Felgrand#yugioh#yu-gi-oh#ygo#Synchro Monster#Effect Monster#Light#Zombie#I've been waiting to review this guy since February and almost forgot that this month would be perfect for it#I have an OC who's (literally) half dragon but also kinda dead (I like using the word unalive to describe him)#This card greatly reminds me of him LOL

so I commissioned a wilt plushie and it's been 2 months since I made my first payment and a month and a half since I made the final payment and they said approximately 3.5 months to completion but it was unclear if that means 3.5 months since I placed the commission or 3.5 months since I finish paying for the commission but either way I still haven't gotten any updates on it BUT ALSO judging by their social media, it looks like they just finished all the plushies they had been working on since before I commissioned and are just starting a new batch of commissions now so how long do I wait until I shoot them a message asking for a progress update?
#I really doubt I'm getting scammed like all their photos are legit and all their relevant reviews are great#only bad reviews are from people who can't read and bought their listing on etsy that said#'DO NOT PURCHASE THIS. THIS IS AN ADVERTISEMENT FOR COMMISSIONS'#and then got mad that all they got was a png lmao#but yeah I'm thinking like. if I don't hear anything by late february maybe?

>:(((( I have a phonecall today that I have to answer, and ofc some other random phone call came in and I answered bc thought it was that. >:((( it wasn’t and now today’s total is going to be 2 phone calls. this is my nightmare
#it was some customer review thing idk#I can’t hear ppl to well on the phone idk why#asked my email & address and like I’m not giving those on the phone to some random bc like idk if that actually was legit#so I had a real awkward tinfoil-hat question of ’’so… what’s this for exactly?’’ and ugh#but he didn’t ask those again and if he would have I think I would’ve just hung up the phone#I did google that phonenumber now and it was a legit one and so I’m hella embarrassed now :D super!!#I’ve become way too wary of phonecalls bc like 90% of them are scam attempts#so I avoid saying my name or too clear yes/no and it’s like a fucking mindgame answering phonecalls#february 2024#2024

Ironically annually needing a time machine to go back to when Doctor Who 13th Doctor cosplay merch was affordable and easily available
#doctor who#gallifrey one prep#13th doctor pink/red/burgundy/plum??? shirt#I saw on one etsy review someone else is buying the same 13th shirt I am to wear to Gally this year!#we'll be twinsies#I'm not wearing a fitted dress or tight pants and even in February SoCal is too hot for a sweater or warm coat or even too thick of a jacke#so that rules out pretty much all female companions without special ordering something expensive#I will do Donna at some point but it's nice to get more use out of my 13 coat and suspenders

A Year in Book Review: My 2024 Reading Journey 📚
#23 - The Hidden Oracle by Rick Riordan
Fantasy / Trials of Apollo #1 / 385 pages / published 2016 / Finished Feb. 16 (reread)
One Sentence Review: Another brilliant installment in the Percy Jackson universe, this book boasts loveable characters - familiar and new - as well as truly loathsome villains, a hilarious narrator, tons of Greek mythology, some questionable poetry, real heart and emotion, and, of course, our beloved Camp Half-Blood.
Favorite Quotes
"Live fully and without fear."
*
"Aquaman driving / Couldn't possibly be worse / Oh, wait, now it is"
*
"Seven-layer dip / Chocolate chip cookies in blue / I love this woman"
*
"Things can turn out differently, Apollo. That's the nice thing about being human. We only have one life, but we can choose what kind of story it's going to be."
*
"I could feel the magic taking hold, despite the Arrow of Dodona whispering to me like an annoying Elizabethan stagehand, SAYEST THOU, 'PLAGUEY, PLAGUEY, PLAGUEY!' ... FIE! TOO STRONG IS THY PLAGUE. The Dodona Arrow hummed with annoyance. THY CHANTING SUCKETH ... METHINKS THOU HAST BLOWN IT, said the Dodona Arrow, my source of infinite wisdom. MOREO'ER, HIE! TAKEST THOU THE REINS."
*
"I spluttered something like, 'Nuh-uh, dun-doot!' I may have waved my Brazilian handkerchief with the hope that its magic would destroy my enemies."
*
"Listen to the trees / The trees know what is up, yo / They know all the things"
*
"A father should do more - a father should give more to his children than he takes."
My rating: 5/5
A Few More Thoughts (Spoilers):
Like all of Uncle Rick's books, it's fantastic. Of course, the fact that Percy Jackson makes an appearance makes me very happy, but the book is incredible in its own right. Apollo is the best kind of narrator - hilarious, loveably conceited, with excellent growth - and Meg is a joy. It's the perfect mix of action, tension, and humor.
For me, the most surprising part was that Meg was working with Nero and was leading Apollo into a trap. It's not just the betrayal that got me, though. It's the darkness of Meg's situation and abuse, that Nero - her "beloved" stepfather - and the Beast - her tormentor - were the same people, but separate to her.
Anyone can change and grow if given the opportunity, especially if they have someone to fight for, someone to believe in them.
Also, Nico and Will were beyond adorable and deserve the world.
Finally, I need a short story of Annabeth taking care of Percy as he recovers from that nasty head cold!
